I saw that notes don't really get a workout around here so I thought I would put up a few pics of some of mine
to start with one of my better bank finds a aUnc run of 4 x $2 combs randell (sorry only 3 to a sheet) that I got for face value

then I have some unc consecutive bundles of 10 (flats) I bought at an estate sale

then some bits and bobs I have picked up including some cool numbers :)

this $1 is part of a run of 10 I have

Unicorn

Very nice Serial!!!  Reminds me of back when I had a complete decimal CFU collection. Meeeeeeemories .....

You certainly got some bargains in there.

I like the RAT $20. I had a TEN $10 which I always thought was cool.

Triggersmob

Nice notes, Serial.
Do you collect world notes or just Aussie?

I don't collect them, but have still managed to accumulate a couple of hundred Aussie and world notes.

I love the art work on the pre decimal notes,
Being in the printing trade for over 25years as a camera operator & plate maker I can appreciate the work that went into the making of the printing plate for these old notes.
Beautifully done but very hard on the plate makers very unhealthy would not be allowed to do that these days.

You got some great notes.
Love the MAC & RAT

Well done Serial. I love my notes and spend more time on them than I do coins lately.

I like the fact that the IBNS awards Banknote of the Year. There are some stunning designs out there.

And banknotes, unlike coins, can't be issued alongside circulating currency for commemorative purposes only. It somehow lessens the ability of the money issuing authority to flood the market with loads of numismatic products.

Are you sure about that? Don't they sell uncut sheets, special prefix folders and other NCLT banknotes at a premium? Not just Australia does it as IIRC the Thais issue various banknotes for things like the Kings anniversary.
