I still reckon ebay won't pull it ,there is too much money for them in this one !,ebay get 7.9% then payplal will get about 3.5%.
@ $30,000 ebay would pocket $2,370 & paypal would pocket just over a $1000.
The coin has actually gone over $35,000 now so ebay's & paypal's cups are even fuller now.
^^^^ Thats wrong what i posted about the ebay fees,apparently it's capped @ $100 if the seller stay under the 30 listing per month,if they go over 30 listings per month then it is uncapped.

Yes. Ebay owns paypal.
The way they force the use of paypal would actually be illegal if they didn't own paypal

They have let FAKES be sold before plenty of times, especially when the items have heaps of bids,i've reported hundreds & maybe 1 in 10 get pulled.

I believe the $100 fee cap only applies for 'casual sellers' so as the seller is a power seller they would have to pay the fees on the whole amount, uncapped.

If I needed to sell any of my high end coins I would certainly not list them on flea bay, I would send them to Walter on consignment.
He has a great reputation and I haven't seen a crappy coin listed on his site yet :good:
All the stuff I sell on the bay are my extras and nothing really special, Just normal run of the mill coins with an honest description and reasonable pic's.
I always start at 99 cents and let the buyers decide the value; I don’t sell just to make a quid it's just a way of dumping the coins I don't want/need and using the funds to get something I want.
When i do list I always get bids from my past buyers because they know that they aren’t getting ripped off.

This bloke will eventually fall in the big hole he has dug for himself.
Unfortunately he will have "jaded" a whole bunch of buyers that will reflect on the prices that we amateur sellers get for our coins
