Quote from: 'Goldseeker' pid='50495' dateline='1401282366'I am of the opinion that whilst the portable press is at a standstill, some pre stamped coins are done in the meantime on the same press as you would do your own coins.

To my knowledge and information received directly from the RAM, the RAM do not pre stamp coins for a show prior to departure from Canberra.   All coins are stamped in situ.

This discussion comes up time and time again and the response is the same.  I know some will question what I have said here but I can only pass on what the RAM staff tell me.   In fact, I have seen what I have said put into action.   EG   "M" Counterstamp 50c Pieces at the World Stamp Expo here in Melbourne last year.

I was told by the person who got the coins from Sydney the MOR "S"
that they had several boxes of pre stamped coins on hand for people who did not want to line up again to get theirs stamped.
She was there at 10.15 AM & they weren't stamping coins then it was about 10.20 when they got underway, she said it took her an hour to get to the counter, the two guys in front of her got 10 each out of a pre stamped box.
So these were obviously not stamped in situ. I would think that these would be the coins sold to dealers.
It's always different.

Pre-stamped mobile press coins is logistically the only way RAM handle the demand

So it looks like that this coin will not be counterstamped in any more cities.
Just the "S" counterstamp
I do think this coin is undervalued I guess time will tell.

Australian coin

I think the currency page the mint declared a m and b, but declaring them doesn't mean that they will actually produce them, they could go somewhere and just do a pop up anywhere, I had the info somewhere but I am too busy with stuff, might look later
