I found a 2014 20c today, in the float at work.
So far I have found 5c, 10c, 20c, ANZAC $1 and standard $2 in circulation.

OFEC count = 258

Sacks (500 COIN BAGS i.e. 25 x 20 coin baggies) of 2013 MOR are still being distributed by the security cos as of today.

Be vigilant as there may also be 2014 MOR mixed among those 2013's.

Best be checking the date on your ANZAC dollars too!

I found my first MOB of Roos 2014 dollar today.
At last count 124 Anzac 2014 dollars.
And 11 green 2 dollars.
Also today in change a 1991 50 cent piece, always a great day when one of these land in your hands.

Also i was handed a red poppy 2012 2 dollar coin a few weeks back, much to my jubilation.

robbiegal

well done
still haven't seen a green $2 or the poppy red $2 in change or the purple $2

5 rubles

Over the last 20 years I have thrown into a box shiny coins found in change. That amount can be counted in kilograms rather than pieces  so I have to do something with them. Is there any value in them or just buy lollies with them? for instance there are few 1988 50c first fleet that have original lustre but magnified inspection will reveal that it has certainly been circulating.

Ozcoins

Values will depend on what the coins are.
Most coins from circulation are not worth much over face value.
Some to check for would be
"2000 Incuse 50c", "2000 $1/10c mule", "2001 rotated $1"
those in nice condition will be worth a fair bit over face value.

JeffH

Any low mintage, in good condition would be worth keeping.
To mention a few;
•1972 5¢
•1971 20¢
•1995 20¢ (United Nations)
•1985, 1993 50¢
•1991 50¢ ramshead
•2001 Centenary of Federation 20¢ and 50¢

There is a thread in the forum listing known upset (rotated) coins. And have a browse through for threads discussing error and variety coins such as;
•$1 rabbit ears
•Double bar 50¢
•Cuds, planchet flaws, collar errors
•1970 and 1994 50¢ date varieties
•2008 gap and 2010 bubble 20¢
That's just some off the top of my head.

Check out also the forum wiki and a visit here The Australian Coin Collecting Blog would not go astray. Plenty of other sites also discuss varieties and errors.

You could also look on eBay to see what varieties are listed and sold -but be careful; a lot are manufactured and not genuine.

If you don't know what to do with the "keepers" take take your chances on eBay or offer them here. I would be happy to negotiate to buy some of the ones I mentioned (and probably others that have just slipped my mind now).
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

A few more that come to my mind are,

1966 Wavy 20 cents
2014 $1 MOR
Any coloured $2 coin

Again not all coins will be worth much more than face value, but to the right collectord you might double the face value (if not more).

Good advice, thanks, Ill go through them and put aside the less common types.

Last Wednesday I searched through 3000 $1 coins (N-W Suburbs Melbourne) and found 11 X 2014 MOR.
