Quotepeople rave about NZ.
Well worth a visit but, schedule a goodly amount of time. You will regret if you only plan a short trip.

We spent our honeymoon there and the earth moved for us -literally. An earthquake shook us out of bed amidst falling furniture and china!

yeah we had a tremor when we were there at Christchurch it was only 2.0 so it was pretty hard to feel we were at the airport at the time and one of the people there said they get those all the time.

Pigram Brothers are a local band from the Broome/Derby region.
Colin Pigram is one of my customers and a very nice bloke,
he gave me a free CD to play, after I visited him in Derby.
I played it a over and over on the way back to Broome,
until the wife could not take it any more. LOL

Because scenery doesn't put food in ya belly. Some of the most beautiful places on the planet are real hellholes to try and live in. Makes them pretty good for a visit (unless you drown, burn, freeze, get shot, sick, robbed, crushed or whatever), but you really wouldn't want to live there.

Australia's so good because its not only a pretty attractive place, but also extremely stable... geologically, economically and politically. Why do you think all the refugees want to come here?

I would have left the extremely stable politically out as that is very subjective and debatable and a lot of refugees have been coming from before my time after nam but all of a sudden we don't want the people that we helped make their countries hell holes but that's another story, we'll stick with Oz :winkextra: so ya got any pic's :)

Looking out my back door last night.
Unfortunately, by the time I noticed the sunset with the orb of the (red, red) sun perfectly framed, it was too late to fiddle with camera setting. Just a very quick "point and click" before it was disappearing. Must keep an eye out again tonight.

And some music to go with it. Lookin' Out My Back Door

Great pics Jeff and I love the song (one of my favs).

Here's an interesting story ....
Put this one on the 20c
I'm sure it would make the 2s go wavy or make you put a 'gap' between you and it.

ausjack

yes totally agree Jeff, you only have a split second and it's a different pic but nice shot :good:

River Murray at Waikerie,South Australia.  Pic.1 is the site of the original pumping station for the town.

Pic.2 is the pump used from the 1920's through to the 1950's to supply both the town and surrounding orchards. Was capable of extracting 500,000 gallons per hour from the River Murray.

Pic. 3 shows the cliffs across from the town and highlights how the river cuts its way through the countryside.
