Here we go. Sorry for the delay, it took longer to set up this Mac Pro server than expected.. curse Apple and their Display Connector of the Month program.. almost as bad as the Mint, they are... :(

The idea is to have interested partakers write a few sentences (or more) in summary of the coin/variety etc in the threads, add a pic and submit it to one of the editors which right now is Mark. There is tonnes of relevant info throughout this whole site, it's about summarising the important bits and putting them into the wikipedia so it's easily sourced without trolling through pages of banter and off-topic.

The behind the scenes (for the editors) contains a bit of coding (as does the Coin Blog I write for) but I don't know any coding. It's all copy and paste for me so don't be scared if you don't know it.

I was just listing a "wavy two" on eBay and thought to see what the forum wiki had to say about them -nothing.
Should I put a little article together? Here is a photo I prepared for the listing.

P.S. That is my wavy. Rather happy when I found that one. :yahoo:
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

If you have gone to the effort to prepare the picture, you may as
well go all the way and to an article as well.
Nice looking coin by the way.

Hi Jeff, I did an essay on the wavy 2 some time ago for CAB, i'll dig out the reference later.
I asked the Royal Mint to have a look at the original dies and hubs to see if a marred die/hub still exisited.
They replied back in the negative so I will stick to my theory about a die/hub  being "blundered" and repaired.
Got several replies back,  one of the staff was quite interested about the coin type and finding out how it may have happened.
Bit like our own Mint (sarcasm).

Cheers, Fred.

Hi, my article was in CAB Sep 2016 Vol 19-08.
It was years since I read it, did a fair amount of work on the subject.
