Very nice....have not seen one before.

I do have a few of these in Silver and Bronze.  I do like the silver ones.

The 2008 Carlisle price guide supplement lists number ZS/2 at $75 in VF to EF condition.

Now, these medals were made from sliced-up steel rivets. Steel, even Sydney Harbour Bridge steel, rusts. I would expect to see some obvious rust patches on a "VF to EF" steel medal. The medal in the OP is virtually rust-free, just a few tiny hints of brown in places. So I would expect it to be worth a considerable premium above the catalogue value.

The one PPH picked up is certainly the best one we have seen.

Not off topic if you're ON one of them.

I beat you by a couple of years, on the Achille Lauro, but didn't go anywhere near the bridge... just Princes Pier. :dodgy:

She must have had a micro sleep the day she met me.  Or had something in her eye that obscured her vision.

Y'd think they never saw a bridge before, eh?
Either that, or someone tried to sell it to them, but the deal fell through.

Our bridges don't have the same mystique.  I think only the Golden Gate comes close with the Brooklyn Bridge a distant second.  Nobody talks much about the Mackinac Bridge.

Oh, I dunno.... every time I see the footage of Galloping Gertie doing its dance with that stranded car in the middle, I reckon it has a certain mystique.

And what about Verazzano Narrows? And does the Florida Keys count as a bridge?

BTW, I was searching for that bridge that collapsed a couple of days ago, and turned up this interesting list:
