I wonder if there are those who visit the area of the portable press when the operator is away or just after the machine has been removed.

Quotelater in the day my dad found a unstamped $1 on the floor, when he piked it up Goldy took it and teases the operator

You would have had to sedate Goldie to pry that one out of his clenched fist :diablo::laugh2:

Why on earth would you do that?????
Its not like we don't already know what they're like. Either pick it up and hand it back, or stick it in your pocket and walk away. There is no third option.

ok here are some things that jumped out

I seen two of these sets, I didn't know they made them in gold! even if you were just into federation coins, a gold 50c and $1 are really interesting. only 650 sets made, I got a photo of the certificate too.

and a no1 certificate! haha yeah I thought no 1 and no 2 were always saved for the trust or museum, yeah I am pretty sure I read that somewhere, maybe that's just RAM products and not PM.

also something that seems to becoming more popular was bullion products, either poured bars or coins. yeah my favourite bullion thing for the day was a 5kg silver coin, forgot to ask if I could hold it and take a pic, I remember last time coin club - who was not there this time brought along a 1kg koala coin in 2011 and I got to hold that, hehe a big thrill.

um ok so I put a video up on facebook, as public so I think people should be able to see it? um let me know if it works ill do the rest.
this one should be one of the hologram coins that were on display, hehe try and touch it ;)

ok so the next thing I did for the day was go down to the auction room where I just HAD TO SEE THE 1937 THREEPENCE, haha cos I will never have one or see one again, so the lovely people let me take pics to share with the forum, also got a copy of the catalogue of the auction, have not found time to read it yet. they were also kind enough to pull out for photos a 1937 pattern penny, 1930 penny and kookaburra half penny

They're absolutely gorgeous.. a mate of mine has several years (possibly even all of them), and I was green with envy when he showed them to me. But not quite enough to go buy my own, mind you.

have heaps of pic of this 1937 penny, but these were probably the best, yeah it takes 10 photos to get one nice one, especially when you are taking pics on the go

didn't shrink the first two pics down, so you can see all the detail on the coin, there was a line across the roo as far as I could tell, but I wouldn't dare take it out of the safeflip, all pics were taken as the coins were presented in 2x2 safeflips.

sorry have to take another break, my eyes cant handle staring at a screen today

ok the best thing that I enjoyed as part of the media circuit was watching Brad Blaze paint and talking to him afterwards, also talked to the Royal Australian Mint Engineering Services Manager, who is invited to join the forum, so he might drop on by and say hi :) also expressed how forum members felt about the quality of coins and he was going to look into it, as our feedback is important to him.

ok so here are a few clips of BRAD BLAZE  haha I loved the background music he used to paint to, it was pretty fun I was bopin to the music, haha

the purple penny blog might have to commission you for more stories!
what a blast seeing that pattern penny and the King of the Australian Penny Series - the 1930

then moving on to modern times with art and music

sounds like it might have been a small visitor show but a well arranged show

:agreed:   A.C.- your efforts are greatly appreciated, thanks for all the time and effort.! :wavemulticolor:
