Yeah I went through a 10kg lot last night and pulled out 31 x 1939 roo halfpennies plus a few other goodies.I couldn't believe I'd picked up an unsorted bulk lot,although the next 10kg's yielded virtually nothing

WOW 10kg now that's a few coins.
yeah it's funny how that happens as I have been thru about 1k of 50's and found about 6 feds but got a $10 bag last week that had about 6 in it so it's all just the luck of the draw but pre decimal is a little different as most of them have been searched as they've been a long time out of ciculation now but like you said they are still around
