Why bother? Physical money is already a tiny percentage of the economy, and shrinking. This is like arguing for smaller stamps, when most mail is franked.

Because it is fun, and I doubt physical money is a tiny percentage of the economy, the smaller priced items are still in coinage, like meat pies. Oh and the majority of chinese shops I have been too, deal in cash and not cards. Like Yum Cha.

I have a friend who is 86 and a dad who is 95 and no way will they get cards of any sort.  They hate them and reckon it's too easy to spend money when you can't see it actually leaving your hand.

2 Very wise ppl and me too, I love to collect it :-)
