Thanks folks.
Today I celebrated the 44th Anniversary of my 21st Birthday.
I remember when I didn't know anybody this old.

[Nevol]

I received 2 nice prezzies from AJ.  A lovely Key Ring holder and a 2012 bubble 50c.  I was sworn to secrecy also, but can now thank him publicly as the cat is out of the bag , so to speak. :yahoo:

The bubble on the 50c is very close to being a replica of the 2010 20c bubble.  I wonder what it is that's causing them.

Maybe the 'quality control' (if any exists) of the planchets is being diminished and they are developing small areas of erosion that open up over time during minting.

For these little rings to be raised as they are, there must be a circular indent on the die. It's got me a bamboozled.

Anyone else got any theories as to how they come about?
