The Forum is Moving at 6.30AM AEST on Sunday 19 May 2013

The forum will be completely unavailable from 6.30AM till 8.30AM on Sunday 19 May 2013. I will reinstate the name servers that point at our new host at 8.30AM and you MAY be able to access it from that point forward depending how/where your ISP resolves it's names from. There's some chance that some of you will be unable to access the forum for a period of up to 48 hours.

From 8.30AM you will know if you're seeing the old server because I'll put a different page up there telling you you're seeing the old server. If you can see the forum from 8.30AM on Sunday and you are able to log in then you are seeing the NEW forum. Your username and password will be the same on the new forum as they are here.

Please email me directly at mark@thepurplepenny.com if you have any concerns or cannot access the new forum server. Don't worry about annoying me, I have four kids under the age of 10 and noone can annoy me more than they already do

OK so another question is should we all be logged off by say no later than 6 am sunday morning..maily thinking about people like myself that sort of stay logged in all the time

You wont be able to access anything on the old server from 6:30AM on Sunday whether you are logged in or not.

Nope it makes no difference. If you are in the middle of doing something on the forum then you'll just get booted off.

I have one question which might be dumb but; can I use the bookmark I have set up now to access the new forum or will I have to google it and then login and set up a new bookmark?

Looks like the move has been successful. What you're seeing now is the forum in it's new LA Mansion with only a couple of changes discussed earlier. (The addition of gallery and a public threads section).
