AJ these coins are copper-nickel, not silver.
I think my coin is beyond help, but I love it anyway. :)

Four more of the Italian overstrikes arrived today.  A 1919 with a lovely strong undertype, a 1918 in a surprisingly good grade and a bit of die clash and two more 1918's with nice evidence of the undertypes.  Those last two will be going out to new homes next week!

Trout, if you get tired of this one it would have a loving home in my type set I am putting together!

Bought this 1908 maundy set recently.  It's nicely toned and despite the dark colour on the obverse the coins still show full underlying lustre.  My favourite part though is the box, a contemporary satin lined leatherette thing that is charmingly inscribed on the inside lid.

"Mary 1908.  A keepsake from your friend Bert.  ARB."

I found this 1901 maundy set recently.  It's the third one I've owned and is the nicest one I've seen to date.
