2022 coins in change

[Mister T]

Anyone seen a 2022 10c yet?

[Triggersmob]

Still not seen any in Perth.

I don't see many ten cent pieces these days. I get heaps of 20 cents but when change calls for a 10 cent piece I often get given 2 x 5 cents instead. Maybe the plan is to drop the ten cent piece?

[Mister T]

Hm odd - I haven't noticed more 5c pieces than 10c pieces in change personally, though if I ever see a coin in the ground it's invariably a 5c piece.

[Mister T]

I got a 10c a few weeks ago.

[gweidion]

2022?
I still haven't seen one in the wild.
RAM says 9.14 million. Maybe they have just been slow releasing them. There were 22 million of the 2021s and 23 million of the 2020s so they may not have used up the stockpile.

[Mister T]

Yeah it has taken some time for sure.
