Opinions required please as to whether this coin is worth slabbing and at a purchase price of $40 it may be worth doing

It\'s not about who you know it\'s about what you know

Mmm very interesting Steve so I hope you don't mind but I might find mine to get an opinion as I'd like to find out, I'm still having a bit of trouble working out these lower grades.
A wise person knows there is something to learn from everyone.

echidna

VF20 my guess.
If it was me I would not slab it.

stevo1962

Yeah probably VF20 or VF25 so maybe not

Not up to speed with the Sheldon grading, but adjectival wise probably gfine and stretching to aVF because of the weak strike these can be afflicted with. I'm with echidna on the slabbing issue.
As we age we lose three things, one is our memory and arrrrr I've forgotten the other two!

I would grade as fine. The market for low grade slabs is quite weak, even if not many have been slabbed. Nice one for the 2x2 and pop into the album.
