Hi I was wondering if anyone else on the Forum purchased this set? I purchased the set with the intention of getting the Four coins graded by PCGS but I am having real trouble trying to get the coins out of the coin capsules they came in. Does anyone know of an easy way to get the coins out of the capsules without damaging them?

Stupid question, wouldn't it be better to leave them in and let PCGS get them out? They must get a few like that. I know it isn't how you are supposed to submit them, but surely they could do it.

Mister T

Is it like the proof set capsules? I put one in the too hard basket a few years ago because I really didn't want to damage the coin, but pliers were the only way I could think of opening the capsule.

From the PCGS submission guide:

House your coins individually in 2 ½" x 2 ½" mylar flips (we do not accept acrylic snap cases or cardboard and stapled coin holders).

So I guess that one would have to get the coin out before sending it to them.

I have a set but I will not remove them from the capsules.

You just slide out the plastic part of the set and pop the coins out.

There is no plastic part. Just the four coins in coin capsules.

Edited - Apologies, you are talking about the Silver Set, I thought you were talking about the standard sets.
