As a 50 cent coin collector, I wonder how many 50 cent coin collectors are aware that with the issue of the Creatures of the Deep Satchel coin set last Thursday, there is now a different obverse available on the 50 cent C of A coin for 2023.        The first release had the standard Jody Clark effigy whereas the latest release includes the 1952 - 2022 lettering added.    The same applies to the other standard issue coins in the satchel.      Depending on the satchel circulation numbers, these could become quite rare coins.

The Basset

Yes. That is true of the 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, and $2 obverses. The $1, which is the uncirculated C mintmark creatures of the deep variety, comes only with that obverse.  There is no word from the tight-lipped mint on whether those others will be released for general circulation. My guess is that like the $1 in that package, they will not be circulated. I'd definitely say they're worth collecting for possible future rarity value.

I purchased the $25 set in the lunch box ans all the coins have the anniversary date on them.

the coins are a lot more brilliant than the circulating currency.

Goldie,  shades of the old wedding sets which used to have the superbright finish on them.  I am just waiting for the mint to stop the 1 person restriction on them at the moment.
