[attachment=3942][attachment=3943]my biggest waste of money on a numismatic purchase was the quarter master collection book from rare coin co , it cost me around $250 , and the downies auction catalouge was free and they are both identical , i got ripped off and could of spent the money buying a coin from the auction instead of a book i got for free later

Geez, $250... I bought a soft-cover version a year or two ago and while it wasn't free it certainly wasn't that pricey.

Hopefully one day you'll find a tad of info in there that will put you in good stead french. Knowledge is the greatest thing on earth, apart from love (in all forms) of course.

I have a big box of PVC 2x2 holder sheets. Bought years ago before I found out about what PVC does to coins. :icon_cry:
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

Me too!! They've been in the shed for years and have compressed/melted into a near solid block.

Getting to frenc11's numismatic disasters, I think, no, I know mine was an impulse buy at the recent Nobles auction, a coin with half a dozen verdigris spots.
As we age we lose three things, one is our memory and arrrrr I've forgotten the other two!
