AusPost finally called back. They said that coins are covered if sent by ParcelPost or Registered Letter. Parcel post has a discretionary compensation of a maximum of $50 while registered post covers up to $100. You need a receipt or proof of purchase to make claims. I asked if an invoice from eBay will work and he said yes. If your coin is worth above $100, get extra cover. Banknotes however are not covered at all. He's not sure why coins were listed in the exclusion list but said that he had personally given compensation for lost coins in the past. Hope this helps!

I think he has been busy around his new house and now that it's
starting to cool down, he will hibernate. :(

I called in to see him last week and he was indeed busy with the new house.

Still a very touchy subject with me..auspost are a bunch of dirty thieving bastards :@ It happened ages ago and I asked how auspost and the mint and dealers get away with sending coins and couldn't get an answer from either auspost, fairtrading who sent me to the postal ombudsman as they don't deal with "those sorts of things" and then the ombudsman said as it wasn't a "branch issue" they didn't want to know anything and neither did my local member so all a total bunch on knob jockey's as far as I'm concerned and it's put me right of sending anything :( But one day I'll have to so I'll have to try and find out the best way when that day comes :good:

But I did get the price of the registration back so a couple of bucks but someone got an error note and one fake so I hope the turds get busted with it :dodgy:

I live :zomby: :mocking: Thanks heaps for the thoughts peoples :give_heart:

Yes been flat out with stupid Dr's and getting a lot of odd jobs done as it's cooling right off so nearly hibernation time..THE BIG SLEEP :sleepy: :laugh2:

Have to take things very slowly these days or I end up too sore but still getting things done and got a fence put up between us and the neighbours (so I've pissed them off :mocking: and had pest bloke in on monday so had to pull up a heap of pathers and now relaying them so just small bits at a time but that's ok as Rome wasn't built in a day :winkextra:

With the post issue I even took all the stuff off their website to the local member and said how it was all so contradictory as it said you could send up to $200 but then it also says it's prohibited to send currency so it's just all BS but our local member is as useful as tits on a bull :dash1:

"tits on a bull"
Isn't that a very valuable error? I have never noodled one (and don't wish to)!
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.
