Lovely token PPH a lot of work has been put into doing that. Is it florin size?

purplepennyhunter

Yes it's an 1873 British Gothic florin.

I bought it as a brooch, I love these unique pieces that are artistic and numismatic but a bit out of the norm.

I agree, will you wear it?

robbiegal

I would
with a nice single coloured sweater
maybe a plum colour - to really show off the florin

well, I wear my grandmothers' cloisonne brooch and it's gotta be worth , say maybe .... $50 !!

What an elegant and wonderfully crafted item, A lot of Love and skill has gone into the creation of this piece.
I normally don't approve of defacing coins But this is something quite different by instead of defacement this is truly a work of art.
A truly nice acquisition PP :good:
