Where do you get that stuff? I assume its totally misrepresented as "Specimen/Proof set". Anyway, wherever you're going I would not go back there.

Did it come with the box, has someone removed the original coins and replaced them?

Yes they came in the original box.
Not even "Uncirculated" just "Junk" coins .
I would have been happy with a set of nice uncirculated coins but I certainly wouldn't have paid $500 for them like I did for these, Thankfully I may get my money back as I paid via PayPal .
I get "Stung" like this occasionally but it doesn't "Jade" me and I consider it all part of collecting ( albeit an unpleasant part) and going out of my comfort zone trying to source interesting coins is what I do on occasion.
I am a bit disappointed that I received these coins the way they are But I am more disappointed that I don't have a beautiful set of 1937 specimen coins to admire instead

That is not a good result at all Mate. It's a shame to see people ripped off like this by sellers who are too clever for their own good, they rely on their 100% rating and a well written spiel (that doesn't match the pictured item) to get the buyer off guard. Unfortunately, from the photos you supplied, they do appear to be the ones in the listing. The two most obvious clues being the wear on the penny and the rim ding at M on the Half Crown. :angel:

All is good I got my refund even after the seller tried to weasel out of it.
