Fantastic Nancy.

I knew you collected NZ coins but did not know you did error coins as well.

Some great examples there in your pictures.
Cheers

A guy in NZ was selling off a lot of his collection some years ago and I bought over 500 coins from him, and about 350 of them were 3d errors, so that's why I have so many of them.  I just love the little blighters.

I'm halfway through 1943 so far, haven't got bored with them yet, and once I get past 1946, I only have a few of each year so the next 3 weeks or so should see me finish them.

What puzzles me is how the heck can you find so many errors all the time.

Do you sit down with you microscope and check every coin that you lay you hands on, then scan and itimise the errors.

Your thread is just unbelievable and that's just the NZ coins.

I suppose you do it for all your coins?

Love the 1943 3d lamination -sort of "tear along the line" appearance. Don't try to bend it or it might fall in two!
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

Yep, and as I explained elsewhere:
QuoteA guy in NZ was selling off a lot of his collection some years ago and I bought over 500 coins from him, and about 350 of them were 3d errors from 1933-1946, so that's why I have so many of them. I just love the little blighters.
I have had them sorted into years but am only now getting them properly identified, then each coin gets it's own tiny clip-lock bag with a paper insert with details. Currently about to start on 1945 (32 coins), and will most likely start a new thread for 45 & 46 (58 coins). Don't have many for the rest of the dates.
