Hi guys. When selling on ebay I've been having problems with my pictures. They won't enlarge when I hover over them or click on them. The problem seems to manifest when I "relist" an item.

Does anyone else have this problem?? Please check your relisted items!

I don't sell anywhere, but as a buyer on Ebay this happens to the items I want to look at more often than not. :dash1:  :dash1:  :dash1:

Yes it happens to me as well. Some listings have mouse over to enlarge, some have
click on to enlarge and some won't enlarge at all but I couldn't tell you why

I contacted ebay three times and all they could tell me was "upload larger images". I assured them my original images were very large (around 4 megabytes) and that the original listing was ok but the "relisted" item was the problem. They didn't help at all and gave no explanation. This is a massive problem as the small images are pathetic and don't give any of the necessary detail. I think its really widespread and affects both buyers and sellers.

I have always been wary of using ebay's image hosting. I embed the image in the items description, e.g.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=3424&item=271452368969

Good idea emu,I should make the effort to do that as well as buyers like the larger photos

I usually use Auctiva service for listing -another expense but only $10 a month.
That gives me 1GB image hosting, easy embedding of images into listing and forward scheduling of listing times at no extra cost.
Picture size can be up to 1920 x 1440 px -that is much larger than you would usually want and bigger than will fit complete picture on most screens.

It isn't too hard to embed your pictures in the description if you have them on a website. EBay listing page gives option of text or html descriptions (and you can toggle between them).

Here's one from one of my current listings (from the "supersize" pop up tab)
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

I've noticed this over the last week or so while i've been searching coins, when i was selling i did as emu said & embed the images via photobucket in my case,as i do on all forums as well.

Sometimes ebay doesn't offer that option

You'd think a company as large as eBay could fix up their images system!

They've had problems with their image system as long as I can remember, when I listed on eBay I used my own zoom technology and embedded the images with my zoom function into the description.

Never sold sorry but as a buyer I like to see nice clear pic's and I think it does help with sales because if it's a crappy pic I know it puts me off a little.

Hi Trout. No matter how many times I delete and reupload images they remain small!
