At least we gave it a try.   Thanks to all those that participated and I shall have to think up of another way to lose out money.

Mate, I reckon the fun we've had with this has been well worth the lousy $20. The only way to approach gambling in any form is to treat it like any other form of entertainment. Ya pays ya money, hold on tight and enjoy the ride. When its over, that's it. If you come out ahead, that's just a bonus.

On rare occasions I do that at a TAB when I have a few beers with the blokes.
They normally get my money but it is a hell of a lot of fun loosing it.

Yup. Back in the days before the pokie invasion, when you had to go to an interstate RSL to play one, I would stick say $5 or $10 in my shirt pocket, and when it was gone, that was it for that trip. Well, one night at St Georges Leagues Club in Sydney, I took out the jackpot.... paid for the night's food, travel  and entertainment for four people, covered all the money I've ever put into one-armed bandits, and I reckon I'm still ahead 30-odd years later!

Even an expensive experiment at Crown a few years ago didn't push me back into the red.
