Australian coin

Time to bump up some interesting stuff to look forward to, I seen a few months ago that we are supposed to get a Centenary Canberra circulating 20c in the com law page,
Item 26
20c Coin

2013 Centenary of Canberra 20c Copper and Nickel Coin

Reverse

A stylised representation of a partial map of Canberra, superimposed on a circle. The design includes the inscriptions ‘CENTENARY OF CANBERRA’, ‘1913 - 2013’, ‘20’ and the initials of the designer Aleksandra Stokic ‘AS’.

Obverse

Consistent with all Australian legal tender coinage, an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will appear on the obverse side of the coin together with the inscriptions ‘ELIZABETH II’, ‘AUSTRALIA 2013’ and the initials of the designer Ian Rank-Broadley ‘IRB’.

And the folks on the site www.canberra100.com.au confirmed it

Wondering when it will be released the site says 70 days to go countdown for the centenary celebrations.

Also the site has an event page and it had this for the RAM if anyone is interested.

The upper sector of the design contains a representation of Questacon, the High Court of Australia, the National Carillon, the National Museum of Australia and the Australian Parliament House. These landmarks are superimposed on a representation of Black Mountain Tower and surrounds, which is in turn superimposed on a representation of a semicircle. The lower sector of the design contains an inverted representation of a mountainous landscape with vegetation, superimposed on a distorted representation of a semicircle. The design includes the inscription ‘CENTENARY OF CANBERRA’ and a distorted reflection of this inscription. The design also includes a horizontal line, the inscriptions ‘1913 - 2013’ and the initials of the designer Aleksandra Stokic ‘AS’.

Obverse

Consistent with all Australian legal tender coinage, an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will appear on the obverse side of the coin together with the inscriptions ‘ELIZABETH II’, ‘AUSTRALIA 2013’, ‘. 5 DOLLARS .’ and the initials of the designer Ian Rank-Broadley ‘IRB’.

Are there any more 100 yr Canberra Celebrations that the RAM is attending to swap the 20c coin?
Buy what gives you enjoyment

Mister T

Not sure. I think someone said something about future coins swaps being done in more capital cities but I can't remember specifically.
