Probably the DDO described on Mike Locke's website:

"Obv hub #1, date #1 DDO. Small radial offset (tilted hub?) seen on "briTT: OMN: REX F.D."  Split serifs on Ts and cross." cross.

gnome61

Nice example and great pics as usual :) Was there a  mention of the dieclash on the reverse near the leg of the second N.

Hi Auto

No mention of the reverse die clash on Mike Locke's site.

Nice pics echi. It was gnome61 who asked the die clash question. I've been away, will now have to check the few I have for similar doubling. Thanks for posting

Hi Auto

Here is another 1922 DDO also.

Was just looking at Downies next auction. Some nice DDO on this 1921 penny. Nice price as well, gulp!!

Penny 1921 mostly red choice Unc, rarely seen in this grade/Australian Predecimal Coins | Downies Collectables

Is that an obverse die crack I spy?
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

The 1921 DDO at Downies looks very nice.
This variety is not too hard to find in average grade.
But this one is probably one of the best.
There is also a 1921 DDR which is far scarcer and is the one to look for though.

Impressive die crack I thought

That's interesting

And is that a clash on the second penny or the die crack you mentioned?

Hi echi, is that a 1921 penny DDR or a halfpenny? I stumbled upon a 1921 halfpenny DDR in the album

The 1921 penny DDR was the one mentioned.
The halfpenny DDR sounds like a new one.
I'd be interested to see a pic.

Not the best of pics unfortunately, but it's the best me and my little old Cannon Power Shot A710 can do

The doubling is most noticeable from ALIA through date then up through COMMONWEALTH.

Top pic better shows the doubling of ALIA

Speaking of DDO's and DDR's and such; there's a high grade 1919 Penny DDO in IAG's latest auction but not listed as such.

IAG | Signature Auction 103 > Lot 1365
