Those who read Maccas regularly would know that a general $50 note dated 1996 is worth at least $110, even in fine condition. I recently found one that had a small tear in the bottom corner (next to the serial number). How does this affect the grading of the note, and would it still be worth more than face value? I'm trying to make up my mind whether I should keep it or put it back into the pond.

Mister T

Learn something new every day - I had no idea they were worth that much.
I personally wouldn't hang on to it if it's torn - looks like only one has sold recently on ebay but there are plenty sitting for sale.
