I note there is no Klause Ford advertisement in the latest CAB magazine.
Klause has been a centerfold permanent  item in the magazine for the last 100 years at least.
That seems serious. Can anybody shed light on this?

Fred.

Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

Mister T

It hasn't been the centrefold for many months now from memory.

Klaus Ford sadly passed away last weekend. He is one of the old guard who forgot more about coins than some people know. He will be sorely missed.

Thanks Eric,
I think everybody in Australia would have obtained high grade pre decimal coins from Klaus, I am one.
Yes, the loss of knowledge is sad as well as the person.
Klaus would have had a big book of knowledge in his head.
Agree with him or not, his experience and position in the commercial  side of the coin buisness was huge.
I would like that book to have been written so we could all benefit from the vast life's experience.
Oh Dear.

I was in his shop in my early days of business.....20 years ago now.....I bought all his 1925 and 1946 pennies.......spent $8k that day! It is a sad loss to the numismatic scene in Australia.

I had not heard, Eric. Thank you for posting.
Waste no more time arguing what a good man should be. Be one.

That's sad news. Can't say I knew him but, on the odd occasion I did have dealings, Klaus was always a gentleman.

I loved his stand at the ANDA Show's, always had the best coins to drool over through the glass case.

RIP
As we age we lose three things, one is our memory and arrrrr I've forgotten the other two!
