Hi guys.

I recently came across a 2015 $1 MORcoin with the 3rd Roo from the top going counter clockwise having only three legs - the back right leg was missing. I couldn't find any posts about this. Has anyone else come across this? I'll try to get photos up tonight.

They've been known of for a while, we discussed it in the noodling thread, here's a link and the pics from part of it.

There seems to be a couple of stages with these. Some only impact the 3rd, whilst others the 2nd, 3rd & 4th and from memory even a tad on the big roo's neck.

You can just make out the leg on the example below whilst some you cannot.

Here's the version involving the 2nd Roo's legs

And another with cuds on the 2nd roo's back and 4th roo's thigh

:laugh2: No need for sorry ....... it would take ages to read what is contained in this forum and digest it!

You have been a busy boy Uni! Great work.

Yeah, what we need is an automagic archive and de-fluffer, to extract the useful content and put it in a permanent, usable form.

Sort of like the wiki was supposed to be, but then wasn't. :dodgy:

As to these roos, they're basically light strikes, with the shallowest details being the first to go. You can see weakness right across the coin, whereas with fills its only a specific, and often quite deep, area that's missing,

And very common lately. Are they trying to extend the life of dies by using as weak a strike as possible?
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

Doubt it. More likely slack operators. People cost much more than dies, and I'd bet they've been cutting staff to get productivity up. :dodgy:
