Hello, fellow coin enthusiasts! I came to Australia recently and already started collecting circulating commemorative coins. But I didn't found any apps for Asutralian coin collectors... I'm an app developer myself and I was wondering if it would be useful for the community to have an app for cataloging and marking which coins you already have and with which quality. If you think it would be useful, what features should be included there?
Thank you!

Yes, because everyone collect differently. I ignore the mint marks, someone doesn't...
Anyway right now I'm thinking where to get the images and desciptions... I'm afraid I will have to make an official request to Royal Mint of Australia to get permission to use their images...

If you intend to do this commercially I imagine that you would have to create your own images and write your own descriptions. :ok:

Yeah but commercially is such a big word. Even if I put ads there I'm 100% sure I won't even be able to cover costs of apple account....

Just because your idea is commercially bad or even just a hobby it does not allow you to circumvent the copyright laws.  If you do not get permission to use someone else's images or text you need to generate your own content.

True. I asked Royal mint and they said I need to make an application to reproduce design of the coin. I'm not sure it is free or not

For iPhones you can put an e cel spreadsheet or access database onto your phone and back to a pc using an app. I do it all the time
