2015 50c 50th Anniversary of the Royal Australian Mint coin query

Hi folks,

I am curious about the various types of the 2015 50c 50th Anniversary of the Royal Australian Mint coin since I would like to add one to my collection.

A Google images search seems to return the following:

single coin colourized version
non-colourized version in a 6 coin uncirculated set
from the threads here, a gold plated one

Are those all of the versions?

I am leaning towards the colourized version. Open to any comments/advice about this coin and how to get one.

Ken,

There were a couple of variants to the coins you mentioned above.

Coloured 50c - a standard (original issue price $13.50) and a World Money Fair (WMF) version (original price $15).

As a rough guide from Ebay prices now average around $15 (incl postage) for the standard version although they can be picked up for a little less and the WMF at $17 - 18.

Gold plated 50c - a standard version (original issue price $20) and one that was available at the Open Day at the RAM on 21/2/15 (I don't know what price they went for on the day).

On Ebay the standard is now going for around $28 - 30 (incl postage) and the 21/2/15 one is around $45 - 50.

I like Coloured 50c one and don't need one for the World Money Fair.

So once Triggersmob is back from his cruise, the search for one can start.
