I can't believe my very special present this year from Mark. Perhaps by this afternoon it will sink after I've looked at it another thousand times.

Here's the back story. We met Anna Meszaros a couple of months ago. Mark has been secretly organising my Christmas gift, I sorta knew something was going on but I had no idea what. He was panicking it wasn't going to be here but at the last minute it all came together.

Anna has made a uniface bronze sculpture/plaque of Charlie! It's just come from the foundry!

Very well done and congratulations on a wonderful gift.

Maybe the person that did that could do a modern day gold prospector with detector in hand if I supplied the silver to do it.   If they are prepared to give it a go then  please pass on my contact details.

That is wonderful. I would like one of those for every labrador we have ever had. I suspect the cost would be a problem for that.

This coin was in my secret Santa lot. We don't open our presents otherwise until this afternoon, when the grandchildren arrive here.
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

Trout would know.
At first glance it doesn't look quite as good as the couple of others I have (one allegedly uncirculated) because it is a little dull with a few dark patches. However, on comparison, the detail of the steps and the facade of the building is way better.
So, not just a very nice present, but also a good learning experience. There is nothing like seeing it to understand what people are talking about.

And Goldie, I have your address. I will be visiting USA next year -would you like me to send a postcard?
