Hello,

It is the changing nature of this world. Kids would rather SMS than talk to someone beside them. This seems a good Forum, and for People in remote area's they can share Idea's and get help with reference. Some may have poor Social skills, so the on-line thing is better for them. Another Factor would be Cost, with Rent and Insurance costing what they do.

This seems a good Forum, some have Mods and other's that Bully some Members. Once this starts and the Ban's start there is something wrong. Many good members who see it will stop visiting, and those left think it is their Private Club. If a member gets out of line with a Newbie, they still side with their " friend " A member may have some issues, but if you run a shop you cant Ban all the customers you dont like. Some maybe because they will keep good ones away, but because of bad actions not trivial stuff.

Funny you should mention that. I got into a stoush on Reddit last night, after asking why there is a double standard when it comes to image hosting sites, and hinted that money is the underlying reason, with the cosy relationship between Reddit and Imgur being threatened, and sites being banned as a result.

Well, in short order I was set upon by four people, accused of everything from being a scammer, spammer and idiot to having a secret agenda, and my post was deleted by site admins.

Censorship and heavy-handed totalitarianism  strike raw nerves with me, and the verbal fisticuffs got somewhat 'colourful' to say the least. You would think that after the recent fun and games that led to their CEO's replacement, they might have learned not to upset people and drive them away, but noooo... some traits run deep I guess.

Civilisation rests on Responsibility and Respect, both of which seem to be lacking in many corners of the internet I'm afraid. Just as well we have truckloads to spare around here, eh?
