Loved to go fishing, should do it more. It's 1973 in Sydney, the Wife and I are not long married, and on this sunny but cold winters day mid June we took a trip down the Princess highway to Tom Uglys (not sure about the spelling) bridge on the Georges river.

Being a book worm the Wife sat in the car while intrepid me was conjuring up a plan to catch moby dick. After rigging up a live bait that was caught earlier (poor thing) I got myself out to the very edge of the rock wall so the launch would be more effective. Unfortunately my foot slipped on the greasy rock and in I went.

Got myself back to the car totally drenched and frozen, so grabbed a blanket off the back seat and made for the toilet block to dry off. Wasn't much point putting the cloths back on so I drove home  in the raw.

The Wife panicked all the way home, worried that if we had an accident she may have to show cause why she was travelling with a naked man.
As we age we lose three things, one is our memory and arrrrr I've forgotten the other two!

:laugh2: top stories team, I love it :friends:

Ok so now for my outing and just sorry I/we couldn't catch anything when AC was here but maybe next time :winkextra:
Ok fish first then the surrounds :)
I only got two and had to let them go as they were too small :( but it was a really good day and good to get a few bites.

now this is why they call it big river country

this is where I caught the bream

this is down at iluka where "the one that got away" was, I reckon it was a decent flatty but the bastard spat the bait :(

I got it off the little jetty and had quite a few bite from more bream but no luck

then the next stop was the beach but I left a bit earlier as I just got too cold and started getting a headache but still a really nice day and good to get out and about :)

now I won't put them all up but here's a few of the moon rising

Hope you enjoyed my day as much as I did :thank_you:
