I have it on good authority that at least four 2002 Outback dollars with significant upsets are known to be in captivity. With luck I'll get to see one and maybe grab piccies.

Anyone else know about these?

Not that I know of. But I expect to get my hands on one, and will certainly take some.

Hrm... had another reported sighting, this time by Adam in Nunawading, who says he's seen a number of significantly upset Outback dollars.

I told him he was probably thinking of CoF's, but he was adamant they were 2002's.

"Pictures, or it didn't happen!" ;)

I found one that I thought was a upset a small amount a fair while ago.
I think I beyond it to Nevol and she said she had heard of them.
No idea where it would be now though.

Oops! Sorry about that.
I blame the phone for that happening,  but not sure how I missed that mistake.
Should have been "mentioned"

Haha,  OK, Thanks.  I was hoping it wasn't meant to be 'sent' or 'posted' as I couldn't remember anything about it, and there was nothing in any of the emails from you. Phew!

I've just been sifting through some of my 2002 errors and came across a bag with 11 x 2002 $1 Outback coins, and in the bag was a tiny note, "6 minor upsets?", so at some time I'll have a good look at them and see just what I've got.

Working on another project at present though, so it might be a while. :whistle2:

I just fixed the title of this thread to show that it's about $1 coins. :winkextra:

Quote from: 'SirDave' pid='75058' dateline='1435744883'Can anyone confirm correct position of this coin. I checked my McDonald's 2012 and it looks upset in the catalogue. I assume windmill vertical and 50 on an angle is correct (as per ones I noodled) the catalogue is offset by one edge.
That's obviously a 50c  and this topic is about Outback $1. :winkextra:

Don't know about the 50c though.  I'll start a new topic for it and move your post there.
