1927 Penny...Special Strike ?

[Basil]

Another interesting Coin whilst i have a bit of spare time,my Brother purchased it and asked for my opinion, probaly nothing and possibly just a strike from a new Die but in hand it just seems different from a normal 27 Penny.I may be getting my dates mixed up but i have a vague memory of reading where they did some 'Special' strikes in preparation for the 1927 Proof Penny, nothing shows on Google so hoping someone here my have an Opinion.

Wish I could help sorry Basil but sure one of the guns can sort it out mate :winkextra:

Not sure AJ,i'll get the Scope on it during the W/end,there is something different about this Coin, just can't put my finger on it other than a nice strike.
