I have been wanting to put this together for a few weeks now and a recent thread here has made me do it. In this article is a quick run down of the RAM releases for 2015. Just remember that we are only in February. http://oldcoinchest.com/blog/royal-australian-mint-celebrates-50-year-anniversary

I think a lot of people have blogs or something going on, I have my own way of keeping up, including a lot the releases that are not normal release, I rarely bother with other stuff now there's nothing that interests me or everyone wants there own viewing platforms for I phones and all the gizmos, or they plain just don't want to log'in to some sites

You are right, that is a staggering amount & still in Feb, I care I have cut back to the extreme, way too much RAMshit for me.

I've cut back from the RAM and the Royal Canadian Mint except for the occasional royal issue.  I honestly don't find their WWI coins all that inspiring.  I don't have much interest in Perth Mint issues any more either, and I rarely buy any. The Royal Mint has gone to another extreme and priced their coins prohibitively, in particular the precious metal coins, but their base metal coins are not cheap either.  There are too many coins being put out these days for which there is no demand.  I'm guessing that at lot of these go unsold.

Hello,

The Mint is trying to make an artificial market. Is there are real value in Baseball Cards ? When a print run is done with " Trading Cards " they make less of some so they become valuable. Coins are similar. As they import Blanks, they have to keep up a variety of product to keep their jobs. Who is to say that the Coins which are unsold not released dont find their way into circulation ? It means the number made will be correct, and the ones in circulation will no longer be pristine. The value in time will increase as there are fewer good ones around. Precious metal Coins, they would melt down. The figures are always a bit rubbery on circulated Coins, this may be why.

I agree with every point that you have made here and seem to be leaning in the same direction, however I do love the WWI release but would just like to know why so many and remembering we have another 3 years of these what else could they possibly commemorate.
