gee that was lucky
I have spent hundreds of dollars on insurance but to date (touch wood) I have never had to make a claim
tracking has made a world of difference to the shonky ebayers who claim 'not recieved'

Hi,

Sorry to hear your story. Italy, India and Nigeria are places full of dodgy people IMO. If you are in the business of sending Coins, the packaging is an extension of the product that you paid for, and as such signing for it only means the package was delivered. AP have fired some people for dis-honest stuff, but my Postie and PO agency are great and I have absolute trust in them.

I know you are unhappy about what has happened, but most places screen people, so where do you draw the line ? There is camera surveillance almost everywhere, but if you were at work and there was a bag search would you like the world to see you have Meds for herpes or any other personal stuff ?. I have seen video of a cashier putting money in her pocket, knowing there was a camera. People and their circumstances can change. I remember working at a place where a customer followed a work-mate into the Toilet and asked him to " hurry up " so he could finish his job.  Post services get a lot of blame, some may be deserved but I think most is not. A Post comes to mind here.

IMO opinion the seller is at fault for not using a safe delivery method and not making the package " tamper-proof " ( being obvious the package has been opened )

The only packages that I have posted and have been lost, were sent to Egypt. This happened twice.
For packages that have been sent to me, the only one that has gone missing, actually made it to Australia and then went missing between Aust Post and Customs in Melbourne. They both blamed each other. $170 worth of Russian Rouble coins just disappeared off the face of the Earth :(

I had some items that "Went Missing", this was happening to often to be a post office "problem" and then I discovered registered post with tracking.
I haven't had a problem since :good:

I hope you luck continues.

The package that had the Russian Roubles in, was a registered package,
that's how we managed to track it to Australia.

Hello,

Have you thought about using a US based international Courier ? I received a package from DHL, ordered Friday night and it arrived Monday. Very fast. The plastic bags that are used by courier companies seem quite secure in that you cant open them without being obvious. My thoughts anyway.
