I think you need plenty of money to spend to enjoy those shows.
I attended one in Perth a few years ago and it didn't do much for me.
Budget might be even tighter now, just found out our little Jack Russell has Stage III cancer. :(

oh poor doggie :(
not sure how they stage doggies
but III sounds high

I feel for you, having just had to make that tough call recently with our little terrier  (Jack Russell + chi-wow-wa + foxie cross = 'cane field ratter')
I still have her little pooch bed set-up in my bedroom - it sort of belongs there after 16 years of furry friendship from the old girl

Thanks guys.
Our dog is only 7 years old, still young really.
Stage III is the highest level in dogs.
We have yet to take him to an oncologist to find out more details.
Hopefully there is still hope.

Hi Steve

Doggies can get the same types of cancers and the same types of  treatments that us humans get
Sometimes the costs are prohibitive
other times, simple surgery and wait and see is enough

one of our dogs had breast cancer and had surgery on that
I reassured her that she still had 7 other boobies left, so there was no need to worry about her body image!

she still lived for quite a few more years after the surgery

That's tough news Steve. Fingers crossed for you and your doggie.

He just had a big lump removed from his leg.
That was sent off to the lab to be checked and that's how they realised he had the cancer.
We are hoping it was isolated to the lump and that enough was removed.

sometimes dogs (and people) just a single lump (or mass) and it can be contained within it's own little secured area and a procedure like a lumpectomy does the trick

let's hope so for you doggie!

Thanks Robbiegal, I shall remain optimistic.
