I have finally cancelled my subscription to the magazine Australian coin review, after a lot of years the April edition is my last
as you know the only way you can get the mag in hard copy is to subscribe, it is also available online but you still have to subscribe.
It was mainly full of stories I, personally had no interest in, I could read the entire mag in 15 minutes
Articles like, Letters to the editor are no longer published nor is what's wrong with this or what is this coin etc
BUT there is a very good story about Counter struck, Mintmarks & Privy mark on one-dollar coins, the how & why they started plus a full comprehensive list
I can imagine that with the very high cost of printing that hard copies of this mag might disappear like so many various magazines over the last few years have
or maybe it will just be available online for a reduced subscription fee.
It's the end of an era for me, I used to look forward to its delivery every month then not so much
