I dont like to try and predict price outcomes but gold and silver have an uncanny knack of predicting chaos. So watch for the tumbling gold and silver prices to flow into other markets. The share market is on a rip to nowhere currently.

Yesterday my article with the link below became the first published to disclose shocking new chat evidence of a multi year bank conspiracy to suppress gold prices:

Quote from: 'Goldseeker' pid='102473' dateline='1481274795'I am siting on something like 7 kilos of silver.   That is, real silver that I can produce and one can handle.

Am I to assume that the price for this "real stuff" is well under priced or what?

Further, am I safe with this amount of silver?

At its current prices your pretty safe with that amount of silver. If the value skyrockets your probably still pretty safe as long as you don't tell anyone!

Quote from: 'trout' pid='102459' dateline='1481262044'What I find "Interesting" about the trades done using this almost fictional Paper Silver is that it directly affects the price when you trade physical silver.
Even Blind Freddy would value the REAL thing that you can actually hold in your hand a lot more than some obscure IOU from a multinational company that doesn't actually have the Silver "On Hand" to be able to deliver it to it's clients if requested.
If ALL the trades done were for physical Silver only the demand would far outstrip the supply and the Spot prices would adjust accordingly. :good:

This is why I don't understand people trading physical since it (and silver) is the most superior form of money, as Greenspan said. This is why the Deutsche Bank settlement, and I have no reason to expect the others that follow will be any different, will be available to anyone who traded gold or silver bullion, bullion coins, ETF's, or options and futures within the time period of the class action, in the USA.

And the security and delivery companies would have a field day.

It cost a lot to move stuff around the world. That's why physical silver is priced higher than paper silver, and higher again if you take delivery.

https://www.abcbullion.com.au/store/silver has Allocated Silver @ $749.70/Kg and Bars @ $768.60 The Allocated storage is free, Secure is 1.5% and Premium is 1.8% Delivery is $25 and Insurance 1%. This is with a spot price of $730.

So, if you were a trader, why would you bother with the hefty premiums when you can trade paper? Sure its ephemeral, but then so is everything else these days. Even property titles have been destroyed, and are now only held electronically. And is there anything as tangible and permanent as land? :dodgy:

The people trading paper are those who want to hedge their production or holding costs, or speculators who think the price will rise and the exchanges are honest (they haven't been reading the news), or those who understand the bullion banks always bet against the speculators and join in with them.

Quote from: 'trout' pid='102438' dateline='1481199194'I don't know for certain but I have read that out of all the billions of ounces of "Paper" PM's that are traded daily only about 20% of it actually exists.

The paper market which purports to represent bullion, is traded in many multiples of the physical market. At a CFTC hearing in 2010 Jeffrey Christian of CPM Group said the leverage was in the order of 100:1.

Going by that the actual physical Silver should be worth many times over the spot price because it actually exists and isn't just a bunch of numbers on a spreadsheet created out of thin air :dance2:

Correct! Silver is scarce, its a tiny market and it takes loads of energy to extract. These prices are a steal.

An epic disaster in the making. The cash economy in India is extremely important to the population, especially the poor. However Indians have to be among the most innovative people when it comes to making do.

UBS (read RBA) suggests abolishion of the Aussie $100

I commented here last week that there is a concerted world-wide move by the secret authorities to eliminate cash. So its only a few days later that we hear a UBS analyst suggesting that Australia should abolish its $100 notes, because the only people using them are "criminal." The inference is hard to escape that anyone who prefers to use cash is also a criminal. Wake up sheeple! Let me also say even though this is written by a senior banking analyst, he would not go flying such a controversial idea without input from the RBA. This article is nothing more than a trial balloon from the Reserve Bank of Australia, to gauge public sentiment.

There is a worldwide move by the unelected monetary authorities to limit the use of cash.

This is a dirty ploy aimed at forcing savers out of discipline and into spending in the vain hope of reigniting stagnating economies. This is because manipulated low interest rate policy has clearly failed its objectives.

Notice how this was done on the day of the US election when everybody was distracted.

One of the many dangers with digital currency is governments cant help poke their nose into your private business.

Once private corporations know where you spend your money, the government will make it compulsory to hand over your data. All in the interests of "security," as we have seen with our internet, email and phone records.

The potential is there, if you don't pay a fine for instance, for them to freeze your account. The next step is if your politically incorrect, they could limit your spending.

They could make things uncomfortable for you or prosecute you if your records show you financially supported someone they opposed.

All governments will do it including left leaning regimes, having little regard for personal freedom except where it serves their socially progressive agenda.

Tyrants could easily wield incredible power over their subjects and minorities with this kind of power.

In my opinion we should make a BIG DEAL of the freedom to use anonymous cash. It should be enshrined in human rights law for our protection from governments.

Quote from: 'Enlilninlil' pid='100397' dateline='1477348971'I have about 100 Euros in coins from change. How to spend them!

Do what I did some time ago.   I wanted US$ and I piut an ad in this very forum.   I was able to secure some at straight exchange rate, no fees, no nothing.

Why not see if any of the forum members are planning to travel through Europe and see if they will buy them off you.

Hi Goldie, I often travel to the US and a ready source of US cash would be great. How much were you able to score?

I hope you have a great time JeffH!
For the fourth time I am heading back to the US at the end of April for six months continuing my book research on monetary policy. Last year my Chrysler did 14,000 miles east to west and back again. Its a lot of fun driving over there!
