Hi one and all, I have just sold a 2000 Incuse 50c piece on EBay and the buyer has requested more of the same. He has informed me twice that he is after purchasing bulk issues of this coin.
If any members of this forum who are reading this have spares of the above that they wish to dispose of, please PM me and I shall give you the gents contact.
I would put the gents email address here but at this stage he has not given me permission to put it up in the forum.
For a starter, he won my coin with a bid of $16.50. maybe not the top price for one but the coin came out of circulation.
Hope you can assist.

At that price I would buy as many as I could as well:angel:
As these coins IMHO are a variation and NOT an error coin they will become highly sort after in the future :ok:
I have a few of these and I am going to hang onto mine.
I believe that these will appreciate in value especially IF Dansco decides to put a hole for this coin in future editions of its albums :ok:
These are interesting coins because the Mint has given absolutely NO details as to how they came about.
These are a design change and not in a subtle manner at all and apparently a low mintage item as well :good:
Thank you for your offer but I am "All good " thanks
Does the buyers name start with an R? I had someone buy 10 off of me a few weeks ago and was very keen for any more.

Nope, sorry.
The must be popular at the moment. Prices seem to be quite low compared to a year or so ago?
How come I've never seen one amongst the thousands of regular ones I've been through? Worse than mules and wavy 2's I reckon. :(
They are in my opinion, nowhere near as hard to find as the Mule and Wavy, neither of which I have ever found,
but I have found a few Incused. I also bought some and swapped for others, so I have a nice little stockpile.
I think I paid around the $20 mark for the ones I bought.
Don't know exactly how many I've got but will count them one of these days. I'm not parting with any of them! :winkextra:

I have never even seen a wavy or $1 mule "in hand" but I have found 2 incuse coins in my change and have bought several others.
Other than the odd trade or giveaway I intend to hang onto mine as well :ok:
I agree with pretty much everything that has been said about them here.
At $16.50 I would also buy as many as I could.
I have found 3 of these now I and traded a few as I well.
I search a lot of 50c and they are already hard to find and only going to get harder as they get collected from circulation.
I have seen it suggested that they are 1.2% of the production.
I am pretty sure I have searched more like several hundred millenium coins for each incuse I have found, which suggests to me that there is already a fair proportion of them removed from circulation.
Yeah, agree oz :good: I have one that I found a few weeks ago and I ain't holdin my breath for another in a hurry as this took me about 10 years and still no mule but I was given a wavy thanks to a really good mate :friends:
I would assist but Trout buys all the incused examples I find.
I found my 58th example this morning and hopefully more to come.

58!
Wow!!
I think I'm going to be ill.... 58!!!
I'm off to bed to cuddle up with my mule and two wavy's I found. :P
Taken a few years to achieve that tally. I will say, they are very hard to find but the Wavy's and Mule's are harder for sure.
It's the Wavey that I have yet to find. I will be going through many bags of 50c pieces till the end of the financial year then I will revert to 20c pieces till the end of the year. That way I go through a lot of coins of the same denomination.
To date I have gone through 23,500 20c pieces from the bank looking for the Wavey and 2001 upset for nil finds to date.
To date I have gone through 28,000 50c pieces for two incuse and one 2010 upset coins.
The above figures started on 15 Dec 2012.
I have gone through 2.4 million $1 coins for 39 Mules, 490 2001 COF Upsets and 1225 other error/Variety $1 coins.
I have slowed down somewhat over the past 18 months but just trickle noodling now.
Whaaaaatttt???
1225? out of a couple mil?
Goldy, we need to talk. I reckon you threw away at least a couple hundred thousand keepers in that lot.
Sorry Fulvio, I don't think so. I collect what the naked eye can see and that's that. I don't worry about minor things that need a x4 magnifier.
Heh, MY naked eye is hard pressed to make out the year nowadays. I can barely differentiate the three portraits. ;)
