No problem AJ ,I took a couple of quick pictures when I went home for lunch and this was the best of them so if you can wait until later I'll post some more.I noticed there is also something going on with the "U" in "AUSTRALIA"
I quite like the look of that coin Stevo , but is it toned from the PVC & therefore enviromental damage ?
Sweet, thanks mate :good: Yeah that is a little funny..still looks pretty good and good detail around the eye :ok:

Not sure if it's PVC damage but it is a bit dull to look at front on.When I get home later I'll take some more photos and clean it up a bit with acetone. The last time I had a rainbow 50c the rainbow toning was still there after the acetone treatment

Pity about the acne scar on the cheek.

Yeah it certainly isn't perfect
they never were fully struck up were they?
most of the early decimals have original planchet scars as the strikes were never deep enough for a fully filled relief to occur
This one is struck up. I think it came out of a roll.

Very nice coin Mark looks like MS66
there ya go
While it is mine I cannot take credit for finding it. It's an MS67 and probably graded that high because of the full cartwheel and blazing lustre. PCGS love lustre. Thankfully I bought it a fair while before the prices of top graded decimals went stupid.
did the 1972 have specimen strikes?
very lovely coin there Mark - as are all the pics that you post
