Title: 2023 coins in change
Post by: Mister T on May 06, 2024, 07:12:32 PM
2023 has come and gone well and truly but I haven't seen much in the way of coins in my change - just the Charles III dollar which had the special release.

Has anyone seen anything else yet?

I found a 2023 "vegemite" 2 dollar in a lot from the bank.
The coin has a circle of yellow paint dabbed on the reverse.
The obverse strike is a shocker, the die has imprinted a very grainy or frosted surface on the field.
I always called them shirt buttons, except they don't have holes to sew them on. (joke).
Fred.

I'm still seeing a few Charles III dollar coins but I'm guessing no one else has seen any of the standard designs, Elizabeth II or Charles III?

2023 coins are mint set only except the $1 Charles 111.
No 2023 circulating coins for Queen Elizabeth 11
