Title: SOLD - Proclamation Coins For Sale
Post by: markn on February 02, 2013, 08:02:14 PM
I've decided to get rid of some of my proclamation/colonial coins.  All prices are negotiable.  These are my coins and nothing to do with the Purple Penny.  Postage at cost, payment via bank deposit.

India Mughal Rupee AH1131/18 - $30

Lot of 4 Netherlands 2 Stuivers (10 2 stuiver coins to the Guilder) - $55

Netherlands West Friesland 1 Gulden/Guilder, I overpaid for this one (cost me $230 several years ago) because it had some nice toning.  When it got here it didn't look nearly so nice as the sellers images.  Still it's a decent EF coin -  $150

Peru 1817 2 reale, nice coin - $25

Markn:   What is the combined price for all these coins combined please.

Further, do you have a cartwheel twopence and halfpenny?

What, Goldy hasn't snatched the lot yet???

OK, I'm going to wade in way out of my depth and drown in my own ignorance, since this is totally not what I'm into.

Do proclamation coins have to have been actually circulating here, and how could you tell anyway? Or do any of a given type count, regardless of their provenance? If so, wouldn't they be easier/cheaper to source overseas, say in their country(ies) of origin? Would have been so much easier if they'd butchered them like they did the holey dollars, I reckon... ;)

I don't believe there's any way to know, and it's any of a given type that are considered proclamation coins.
