Its Woolworths.
On ebay as pre order.

Yes, I just saw another post on Facebook without the bottom cut off the flyer.
Woolworths from 5/7/23 until 25/7/23.

The number of issued coloured $2 is truely getting out of control. :@

Having said that, Triggersmob, please, two of each of these coins. Sigh.

See how I go Ralf. This is getting harder to get these coins. The lack of funds does not help.

The amount of these coins on eBay for presale is ridiculous.

The worst of these Woolies issues is that RAM doesn't recognize them as circulating currency so they don't put out information about mintages. For RAM they are a private issue. There might be something in the annual report but I can't be bothered digging.
I assume that most of these coloured $2 issues will be about 2 million coins, like RAM has settled on for their own coloured issues.

I have been told that the $2 & $1 coins for the Matilda's are thru the till in Woolworths because the RAM have a problem with the packaging.
This must of been the reason that the $2 Socceroo's coins and the $2 Vegemite coins were all released as circulated coins thru the till.

Q. Why bash your head against a brick wall?

A. Because it feels so good when you stop!

Nah, isn't that why they invented Panadol?  :winkextra:

I thought the mint's website had a new section for these coins?

Anyway, I assumed that Woolworths didn't want to pay for the packaging at this point.

If you've found details about mintages for these "special orders" on RAM's website, please post a link.
The only one I know of is the RSL's Red Poppy from 2012.

I'll have to keep my eyes out. Shame they're not in sets.

I have heard rumours that the RAM has had trouble sourcing packaging for some time. This may be the reason most of the recent woolworths issues have only been released through the tills, with unofficial releases through eBay and Facebook.

Yes, I would rather have sets. Much easier to go and fork out a few extra dollars,
than have to keep running back to the shops in hope of getting coins.
Especially as we do most of our shopping online these days.

I've managed to get a couple of the first two dollar coin, but no dollars yet. New $2 every week is a pain. I hope they have plenty of dollars, because those will probably run out first.

Well, I guess that's the reason why Woolies does it: Get folks into their stores.

I just assumed Woolworths was cheaping out and not wanting to pay for the packaging.

I think they made money selling previous packs. The coin value certainly wasn't the same as the cost and I can't imagine the packaging would have cost that much.

They do list the mintages on the website, but they are grouped by release rather than denomination.

Thanks for the link. I hadn't seen it before either.

I believe they have changed the website multiple times since I was last looking for those mintage figures - they were previously listed as Corporate.

I'm just pleased that they actually took notice of my prior requests and added Investment Coins (aka Perth Mint blanks) after I had to buy RAM bullion coins from Germany?!!

I had to buy some RAM bullion coins from an overseas site as well. That is SO annoying.
