OK, I know it's a bit of a roughy but it is the only spare 1913 coin I have. I thought a centenarian would be an appropriate prize.

If I was running the competition then NCLT found in circulation would not count as I think the idea is to discover coins officially released. Then again, you could not tell if a coin was released from a mint set...

I didn't attend the coin swap. Unfortunately it appears that unlike the Kate and Will coin swap the Canberra one has no special packaging to signify it as a first release batch.

5 million is fairly low. Is that the actual mintage or the minimum mintage? If its the actual mintage it might be worth hanging onto a couple.

Problem is, when you get them in change they are normally pretty bashed around :dash1:
Swapped the ton of 10¢ rejects for a couple hundred $2 today, and got little out of them...
A handful of minor errors, half a dozen rare years, a couple of poppies, and these three:
1988 or 89 die fill (HH initials)
2004 cancerous planchet flaw (Murphy strikes again!)
and
2013 snotty nose cud!!!
Don't think I've ever seen anything like this on a $2 before.

The ink was dry on them, honest! :angel: There's a 20 Peso note here worth all of 50c! I've actually found someone who knows someone at a bank so I'm getting a couple of bundles of 100 to bring back and distribute to kids at the door at the Melbourne ANDA fair. Might keep a few consecutives for the old collection.

Downies has recently been asking on their Facebook page if these (Canberra 20c) are being found in circulation and where. They did get a few reports in response. I asked another dealer to find one for me earlier this year, and it took him over a month to source one.

So now I have the $2, 50c and 13 20 cent coins(8 of which I found in the same bag) I'm thinking about buying a couple of bags but if I keep finding them like this I won't need to :yahoo:

Just viewed many 2013 50c pieces in my noodling.
I'm going to take a wild guess based on what I've seen and heard so far about 2013 $2's...
10% coronation, 90% standard. Mintage will come in around the 20mil mark for standard. Which is a shame, they really are lovely compared to the past several years.

Whats the lowest mintage of the 2013 circulating coins?
2013 $1 MoR just turned up here. They were in a batch from the washing machines at the caravan park so might have been "imports".
So all denominations were issued for this year. Looks like a reasonable amount of each coin were minted.
So at a count, currently 168 Canberra 20 cent coins from circulation

but I now have 3 very nice shiney 2013 $1 coins
so I now have a 2013 complete set form circulation in change but all look lice and unc to me , I haven't done a new circulation year set for years, so it was fun to join in and put one together
