Just a reminder that these coins are being released tomorrow.
Be aware that there is a $1 RSPCA coin only available separately from the RAM or RSPCA exclusively.
I think it is called Farm Animals.

I completely missed the ambulance one coming out (and had completely forgotten the fire fighters one too).
Are they going to appear in change?
The Ambulance will be a circulated coin.
The Firefighters coin is in circulation. Plenty in Melbourne.
I have yet to receive my RSPCA coins and I thought they would go like a firestorm.
But alas they have not.
According to the RAM eShop the 8 coin set with the special Wombat coin is still for sale.
In the past, sets with a special coin in it sold out very quickly.
I have been wondering why this set has not sold out and I am thinking the individual coins do not contain an actual picture/photo of each animal but rather an artistic view of each of the animals which collectors are not liking.
I would have preferred and actual picture/photo of each of the animals.
What are your views?
Lucky you Goldy.......I have not seen any at all as yet.

Can't say I'm a fan of the RSPCA set. The colour scheme is a little garish and the coins/cards don't look as attractive as earlier boxed set issues. It's a pity since the RSPCA do get some benefit from the sales of the items.
Over the past few years the boxed sets seem to have been a bit hit and miss. Even the inclusion of special limited mintage coins doesn't appear to have made them necessarily attractive. The RAM still have the RAAF set for sale (which I do like). In some cases it has been possible to pay quite a bit less than issue price on the secondary market with a little patience. Maybe the passage of time may change perceptions.

Bumping this thread, to give an update and because it contained some useful info I wasn't seeing elsewhere.
There are a grand total of nine coins in the set - the seven coins purchasable individually, the wombat coin only available by purchasing the 8-coin box, and the farm animals coin only available through the RSPCA store and not from the Mint.
The 8 coin set, plus the seven individual coins, are all still for sale on the RAM website and in the RAM giftshop in Canberra.
The farm animals coin, not included in the set and never sold on the website/giftshop, are still for sale from the RSPCA store at the $15 issue price. This one seems to be higher-priced on the secondary market; perhaps the RSPCA should be doing a better marketing job as coins still for sale at issue price nearly a year after issue tend not to do all that great on the secondary market.
As to their medium-term unpopularity, I'm wondering if the complexity required in obtaining "the full set" - you need to put two orders in, to two different organizations (the RAM and the RSPCA) and pay two sets of shipping - or even figuring out how many coins are in "the full set", is putting people off?
And another question, for those who have actually bought the 8-coin box: is there actually room in the box to fit the ninth coin, or do you need to store that elsewhere?
Interesting - that's the first I've heard about the RSPCA shop having the exclusive.
Thanks for the extra info Sap :stop:
The farm animals coins were available from the Eshop with a limit of 3 coins.
As Pedro said the packaging is not appealing.
