Title: 2019 JC obverse
Post by: JeffH on July 09, 2021, 04:38:54 PM
Checking my change and from my noodling it seems that 2019 JC obverse coins are very much less common than IRB. Might be worth holding on to any good condition ones you find.

Anyone have an opinion on this?

I think this has been known for a while. Just check the RAM website for mintage figures and you will see.
Especially the 50c.

You are right Steve. I didn't realise the Mint had the two obverses listed separately.

I had 2 bags of the JC 50c coins at one stage. Now I have one coin. The rest were traded of, mostly to guys on the German coin forum through Ralf.

I haven't seen enough of some denominations yet but both types of the 5c and 20c seem to be common.
I got two nice 2019 JC obverse 50c pieces the other week.

From what I can tell RAM continued minting 2019 JC 50 cents well into 2020 and I expect to see numbers show up in this year's annual report because there were WAY more of these on fleabag than the initial mintage of 70,000 suggested.
