Welcome to Rotary's Centenary of "Doing Good" DownUnder.
Rotary100downunder (https://www.facebook.com/Rotary100downunder/?__cft__%5b0%5d=AZWDDSH5jflfYL2d9GeqDhQJXByxWP54e-i18y3uLMJizzwKX5qGsDKvPfyVgB7ij26_mpf89qY997TS1x0mogvn9pLu7dBsR4hnyfyyKsUa9cEqV54T7da0oTLNTK1eCVNu_jdvZLg1YfPimBKIHcCbIuAVLjsMoCYLQiEIN3XwPQ&__tn__=-UC%2CP-y-R)
And its time to announce a set of new commemorative coins that will put Rotary into the hands of every Australian in our centenary year and beyond.
The Royal Australian Mint has announced that we will launch a pair of coins in 2021 for our centenary. A $1 coin will go into general circulation and also be available in a commemorative collector pack for $15. A special minting of a silver $5 coin will be available for $100 marking 100 years of Rotary service and launching into the next 100 years.
The coin released from the RAM on a card is blue.

So the collectors pack is already being sold for double even though it isn't out. I hope no one gets suckered.
Thanks for the info Jen. :)
embargo is broken......So what happened is the $5 silver coin was released in early Feb. The $1 Al/Br coin was delayed because from what I believe rotary wanted a design change. The new embargo date is 11/3/2021 so no sales can take place until then. We are not even allowed to show imaging till this date.
According to Ebay, the seller in Jen's link has already sold 5 x $1 coins, so a new embargo date is pretty useless.

yep....we got stock Monday but have to hold it for 3 weeks or more
This seems to have happened before. Does the R.A.M. ever take action against embargo breakers?
So the design in the first post is the final design?
The seller mentioned above has been reported to the RAM.

RAM won't take any action unless they know who the seller is or obtained them from
If they are a RAM authorised dealer the RAM can reduce future allocations or stop supply if not already sent. Repeat offenders can have their license agreements thrown away.
If you are a wholesaler you are allowed to pass on and distribute to your own network before embargo but if your wholesale customers break embargo then it is treated as you have broken embargo
They tell you constantly the stick is there so I am not game enough to break the rules. I do not know how often they use the stick.

It's only a $15 carded coin and a shame that some dickheads obtain and double price before release
Ebay sharks......I called a number of ebay and facebook sellers out last night......I am the admin of one of the facebook groups so could wave the big stick on my group.
Some sellers removed their ebay listing...other told me to **** off

I hope you are able to ban them from the Facebook group. I wish Facebook didn't back down on the news issue. I'd like to have seen them go to the wall.
I had a look at Facebook coin groups and never went back to them again. Full of predators.

Actually Jeff they are moderated quite well,eBay isn't
The good facebook groups you are required to produce ID to sell. They stamp out crap pretty quick and I have found as a seller is a lot safer than ebay as far as charge backs etc.
It is that I have next to no issues selling on facebook but ebay there seems to be lots of "lost parcels," "Missing coins," in parcels and "damaged parcels". Ebay always sides with the buyer.
I even had one ebay buyer claimed every mint set in a parcel I sent was damaged.....I negotiated a settlement to find out later (from FB) that this buyer gets good items and damages them himself in the hope of a settlement to reduce his costs as he breaks them up anyway to sell coins individually on ebay.
Anyway I am an admin on the CNA coin group on favebook if you want to take a look.
I don't do Faceplant unfortunately.
eBay Australia is self destroying itself as far as Numismatics go
The joint is full of fraudsters and criminals
Facebook coin groups is where decent people are
I have just applied to join the CNA group. The vetting process to join looks a good start.
